The Stock Your Studio Raffle is Coming Up!

Once again, thanks to the generosity of CPSA’s corporate members and supporters, we have received a wonderful range of products that would be perfect additions in YOUR studio. At least 15 high value product donations will be given away as separate prizes in this year’s convention raffle.

$100 gift certificate for Speedball Art Products

Daylight Foldi lamp   $80 value

Winning tickets will be drawn at the Art Gala on Thursday of convention week. We’d say you must be present to win, because tickets will only be sold at the convention – but anyone can buy tickets, so long as they have a designated person at the convention to collect the prize for them. And yes, if you buy multiple tickets, you’re eligible to win multiple prizes!

This IS a fund-raiser, right? So since I'm not attending (plus I don't know anyone to designate to pick-up my prize) I can't buy any raffle tickets. Seems quite counter-productive.
IDEA: What if a non-attendee was willing to pay for the shipping? Wouldn't more raffle tickets be sold? Well, maybe next time....
ps: BRAVA to whomever organized & garnered all these fabulous prizes. That was a huge amount of work.

Thank you for your comment, Cheryl!
This is a really great question, thank you for asking.

While this is certainly a fundraiser for CPSA, at this time we only have the resources to sell tickets to those at the convention and distribute prizes to those who are there in person, or who may have a friend attending.
In the past, we have tried to pack and ship out prizes to those winners not in attendance, and unfortunately it just has not worked in our favor to-date.

The convention week is extremely busy for all involved. We have found that in the past it was not just one package to ship, it had ended up being multiple winners to contact, products to package up safely and get to a shipper to get sent out to the winners.

In the end, it's less about the cost to ship to non-attendees, and more about the time management.

As it is now, this is something we are regrettably unable to do for our non-attendees.

Melissa Miller-Nece, CPSA's Ways and Means Director is the fabulous board member behind all the prizes. And of course, our Patron Sponsors and supporters donate the items to CPSA. We are grateful and thankful for both Melissa and our sponsors!

We do very much hope you can make it to one of our conventions in the near future. It is a great time surrounded by like-minded artists!

Thank you again for your comment and question, it is greatly appreciated!
