Whew! What a week we had at the CPSA 21st Annual International Exhibition and Convention! The national board and district chapter representatives kicked off the week in productive meetings. On Wednesday, the City of Brea Art Gallery opened their doors to the exhibition of over 125 works of art. The exhibition was well attended and as usual, the recurring question, “This is colored pencil??” brought many a smile to our exhibiting artists.

|Some of the Many Products Donated by Our Generous Sponsors|
On Thursday evening, CPSA hosted our members with the gala and silent auction. We were thrilled with an abundant amount of products donated from our wonderful sponsors for the raffle. Many people went home with lots of goodies to experiment with! Members were treated to a slide show of all the artwork that was entered in this year’s exhibition. By evening’s end, the silent auction raised over $5,000 – a record amount in the history of this fund-raiser. Stay tuned for tomorrow’s blog with details from our silent auction.

|Visitors Taking in the Beautiful Artwork|
To culminate the week, the exhibiting artists were honored with an artists’ reception on Saturday evening at the gallery. The reception was well attended and included a visit from Brea mayor, Ron Garcia, who was happy for Brea to host the CPSA convention. It was the perfect way to relax, enjoy some beautiful works of art, and take pleasure in a wonderful week.
