17th Annual CPSA Exhibition - It’s Time to Prepare Your Entry! - Deadline March 31, 2009

We are excited to announce that the Prospectus for this year’s exhibition has been mailed and is also available at the cpsa website (www.cpsa.org) The exhibition and convention will be in Atlanta, Georgia this year. The dates of the exhibition are July 9 through August 29, 2009. Convention week is July 27 - August 1. The other important date to remember is the entry deadline of March 31, 2009.

This year we will again be using the CaFE™ callforentry.org system for digital entries. All entries must be via a digital file submitted to the callforentry.org website. You can find information both on the callforentry.org site (available Tuesday, Dec 2nd) and on our cpsa.org website. And if you have further questions, contact emails are listed in the downloadable prospectus available at the following link:
http://cpsa.org/EXHIBITION/17thEXHIBITION/Prospectus09-FINAL.pdf

The prospectus has details about the Exhibition, the convention hotel (Marriott Atlanta Gwinnett Place) and convention activities. These will be outlined further in later blog entries.

We are looking forward to seeing the entries for this year. There are always so many beautiful and expressive pieces entered and each year is a new experience. If you’ve never been to one of our conventions, we encourage you to come and share. The colored pencil art is wonderful to see “in person” and the member meeting includes the unique experience of seeing ALL of the entries to the show. It is very much a learning experience to see what the juror had to choose from--a difficult and challenging job to be sure.
